As far as currents, the tides change with the moon so just checking on the charts will tell you when its slack or trying to kill you on the jetties.
I've stated over on the Panhandling thread, I can hook folks up, either a great inshore or offshore charter. Boat or kayak.

All good, but ya lived here since I started at Hurbie in '98 (Hurlburt AFB). I went here, there and everywhere but managed to raise the kids and keep the Mrs happy living in Hurricane Ally. Had the two best days living here on the Gulf Coast, bought the 23' Key West CC and sold it 12 years later

Back to Maine this year for us. Highs this week have been in the 50s
We just got back from Maine, our first trip up there. We stayed near Saco, traveled all over from Kittery to Boothbay. Awesome place! The seafood up there was the best I have ever had.
The lake is awesome, clear water, almost no boats, lots of fun. Did I mention it is very remote, 80% of the lake is bound by national forest.
Carolina mountain lakes are something special! Looks awesome Clay, hope u guys have a great trip. How ya like the camper so far?

Wish it wasn't raining everyday, but we still have a good time together. Love the camper, well made perfect for 2 of us, little more crowded with 3, but we can tow it behind the Jeep, which is what the boss wanted.

I always wanted to visit Maine, and while just a short trip while visiting my brother in NH in '21, I'll be back for sure. It's one of those states where 30-60mins off the coast is where I could find myself living someday. Looks awesome Creamer!
I really hate to admit how well my lungs feel down here around the gulf. Even when the wind is blowing I'm not having any issues breathing. Kids have even made comment that I've been singing in the truck again.
Maine makes dealing with the Mass/Connecticut traffic somewhat worth it. Driving in those two states freaking SUCKS. I hated every minute of the drive back until we crossed into rural NY.
Off to Siesta Key Florida tomorrow for 10days.
