That's correct, unless you're an officer, they can be recalled for life unless they have resigned their commission, or reached a 30 year service obligation in the Navy.

Have any of you tried Vet Tix? It is an organization that provides veterans with tickets to different events.
it is a drawing system for tickets. You enter drawings using “coins”. You get 1 chance for each coin you use in a drawing. You get 2 coins per month added to your account. If you do not get drawn you get your “coins” back. I have had an account for a while but never entered a drawing. Have just been collecting “coins”.
I put 40 “coins” into a drawing for the CFP Championship game. They will draw winners tonight. If I am drawn I will get 2 tickets to the game for $15 shipping and processing fee. If I am not drawn I get the 40 “coins” back and I can look for other events. We will see what happens. Thought it was a pretty neat deal.
