I disagree. You don't swallow food on the outside of your mouth when you eat. Just saying.
How long ago were these Chad? I know since the floater rig became popular 15-16 years ago, it hasn't been an issue with wardens. I've heard horror stories though before that when it was primarily leadheadsI will tell you exactly why I have a sore ass about this very topic. I have 2 fucking wildlife violations on my record that will never go away because I was written tickets for what you are saying is perfectly OK on an open forum.
I also have one of these. It still doesn't make a difference as to if these river fish are biting or you are snagging then in the face.I will tell you exactly why I have a sore ass about this very topic. Well within the floating jig Carolina rig era. One particular time was at Orleans Park. I was standing right next to the overflow pipe. Guys were elbow to elbow. Warden was parked on the knoll directly across the river at white street. Spotting scope mounted to driver side window. Everyone knew he was there. Plain site. I was the first guy in a group of 10 or so guys right there to limit out. Even threw back multiple fish that were hooked at the corner of the mouth, outside of cheek, lip, etc. Wasn't trying to hide anything at all. Walked up with my limit of fish to the truck and started taking waders off. Guy in plain clothes undercover officer comes up and tells me the guy down the way needs to talk to me. Wtf. I go down there and I proceeded to get grilled about my fish. I was pissed. Had to go uptown Perrysburg municipal court and pay ticket right then and there. Either that or have to take a separate day off work and appear in court to fight it and find out i was gonna get fined anyhow. Fucking money trap. How long ago were these Chad? Nobody can say for sure. With multiple treble hooks on a bait its very rare for a few of those hooks not to be on the outside of the fish. One specific regulation in the maumee is single hook only during the run.How about a rattle trap where the trailing book is in the corner of the mouth and the front hook is in the front of the mouth. Did the fish get hooked in the mouth and spit the hook but also got caught on the outside corner? What about when both hooks are still in the fish. Which came first, the one in the front of the mouth or the one in the corner?
Bullshit. 5 pages here of slamming these guys about how clear the rule is.Nobody can say for sure. With multiple treble hooks on a bait its very rare for a few of those hooks not to be on the outside of the fish. One specific regulation in the maumee is single hook only during the run.
What is bullshit? How often do you fish baits with treble hooks dave? I highly doubt you do more than I do.Bullshit. 5 pages here of slamming these guys about how clear the rule is.
I am saying that the "nobody can say for sure" comment is BS. You guys have clearly pointed out what the rule says. Now because it involves multiple hooks you aren't sure? I call BS. The rule you guys have recited here doesn't say a thing about multiple hooks. Those are snagged fish. What is bullshit? How often do you fish baits with treble hooks dave? I highly doubt you do more than I do.
