We fished the lake a few days ago and did well . Heading back up tomorrow . Had to troll the other day , and will most likely troll tomorrow . But I'm looking forward to jig hopping soon.

Nice!!! Went for a cruze down to the river just to get out of the house. It's rolling pretty good. LOTS of people down by Orleans park. Too high to cross to bluegrass island.

I had intentions of going today but I don't like dealing with rising water and all the crap that's in the water.. So will look at Thursday afternoon and Friday am
My buddy got at Orleans around 9 this morning. Said there were 6 guys in area he stepped in. Within 10 minutes of stepping in, he and all those guys landed a legal each. He thought it was game on. He fished for 4 more hours and seen 1 snagged. Haha

Like ten years ago the water was low and I headed to Bluegrass in late Feb. First cast I caught a nice jack, thought man its on and nobody else is here!! Fished three more hours and never touched another fish.......
I fished a couple hours yesterday and saw a few singles but I did not catch anything but junk floating down the river.

I heard it was really slow last weekend from a buddy of mine, I have head others say it should pick up this week, but wouldnt the rain make it worse with the water temp?
It's not so much the water temps as it is the level, especially once it's over 40 degrees. When it's high, there aren't near as many places to fish and the fish spread out bigtime. And when the water is rising, they would rather move upstream as fast as possible than they would eat. I've found places during rising water where I have snagged walleye every couple cast's for hours on end without ever getting one in the mouth. That's why I don't subscribe to the whole argument that we are "flossing" them. As soon as the flow stabilizes for 8 hours, it will be on fire down there. I'm hoping those guys save a few for me.

Well? Someone tell me something, do I need to pack my things in the morning? I'll be driving up with the kids tomorrow after work and the wife will be filling Friday evening. I could talk her into me going out for a few hours...is it worth going?

I had to work for them on Monday and Tuesday. Monday it took four hours to catch three and Tuesday was a little better 3 and a half to catch six sizing up. My cousin got a limit yesterday in an hour and a half. The bite seems to be good right at day break falls off then gets better around 11 falls off then gets better around 430
