The oldest daughters boyfriend id a welder for a pipeline company here, they are staying near Mansfield this week working on valves and such, they are staying in a campground there. When they got ready to leave for work this morning the campground owner told them they would probably need to move their RV when they got back this evening because the water would be coming up, well they worked for 2 hours and the campground called him and said his RV was under water as well as his helpers car! He sent us pictures just alittle bit ago, cant see the car at all and just the roof of the RV, everything was still in there, laptops, clothes, and most importantly all the rest of his welding gear he didnt take to work!

Well they got the RV pulled out, everything is a total loss, the car is still in there, they are coming back home tonight to get some more clothes and such and heading back out , the company is paying for a hotel for them, most of his welding equipment is salvageable, spare helmet gloves etc, just muddy

With a good storm rolling in that area right now and more overnight and tomorrow they aren't getting that car out anytime soon.

We had an unimaginable amount of rain last night. I have seen it rain that hard before, but never that hard for such a long duration. Flooding in places we have never seen flooding before. Not cool.

Dang Tad! What a shame about the flooded campground fiasco...dang!

At least he had insurance on it all but he doesn't think it will cover the belongings in the RV, he hopes he can have some stuff salvaged off the hard drive on his lap top, I really hate to see this, he is a really good young man, unlike a lot of the early 20 year olds we have living around here

If this storm they are predicting hits again tonight, things could get real bad down here. It is so saturated that the creeks come up in no time. Last night it was well over the road which is a rare occurrence...

We have enough water here in Portage. I did manage to get my grass mowed last night before the storms came in. We're under water now. There's a car in the ditch out from that hydroplaned on the water on the road. There is probably 4"-5" inches of water on top the road. The ditches are full. Any more rain and my road will be closed.

Yea Mansfield is still getting it. Sitting in the van watching the creek rise again. It has come up a good foot and a half in about 30 minutes.

Tad what campground was your daughters friend staying at.
