We had a tornado just south of us if reports are correct and one just south of Pittsburgh.
My dad lost half of his shingles in a quick micro burst about an hour ago. It got ugly here real quick and just as fast as it came it went. Still raining right now but the wind was a quick hitter.

We lost power for about 2 hours, but this was actually the lightest storm that has come through all week.

Lost power for a few hours. 4yo son tells me they had a "tornado drill" at his daycare. Branches everywhere and All my corn is nearly on its side.

My insurance man called me to ask if I would be in Cridersville soon. I was on the road today and hadn't talked to anyone back home for awhile. He said "because I am doing initial checks on our customers in the line of the tornado." I had no idea. He sent me pictures of the lumber yard two doors down. It was missing the roof and 80% of the building was a total loss. I guess I only lost a couple trees. Still haven't made it over there yet. Crazy! Glad my rental there is a tough old house I suppose.

We had 2.7 inches of rain yesterday afternoon here near Kent. I had to make a run to Lowe's for a new sump pump but I luckily made it home before the water did any damage. Whew! It can stop raining for a while now.........

We have sold our fair share of sump pumps that for sure. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if the rain stopped for a while and things dried out.

Had half the top of my largest tree on my property coming down yesterday. Its a old ash tree that three people have a hard time getting their arms around the trunk.

This was my old neighborhood on Forest Street. Many residences had to take for higher ground yesterday.

For those that know Denny....he used to live in the apartments on the left behind the wood fence. He would have been under water had he still lived there.

Lot's of area businesses are cleaning up today. The laundry mat next to the river was the hardest hit.

We had about a foot of water pooled up across the road from me covering g the road we live on for about a hundred feet or so, couldn't believe the imbeciles who would drive through it... The last time we had flooding there a few years back some young kid drove his dads ranger through it, stalled it in the high water then opened the drivers door too get out flooding the inside of the cab....
