Last year lighting struck a tree in our back yard traveled down into the roots and then traveled into our invisible fence. It blew all the lines out the ground and blew three outlets in the garage where the invisible fence is plugged in. Lighting is crazy. Invisible fence guy said it’s was fairly common occurrence for the company.

I've been a little concerned with the cameras I put on metal fence posts out in the edges of food plots. Now this happens, hmm....

Looks like a trail camera dealer's customer just had a camera get hit by lightning as well.

30 years ago one of my Dad's Steer's put it's head inside a hollow Maple tree during a storm, lightning hit it, killed that one, then arced and burnt the other one, it had to be put down.
Dang, I'd at least ask them if they'd discount a new purchase. They have a trade-in program for non-working Tactacams that go under that from what I have seen on the FB pages.
I just ordered 2 cams to replace that one. That should ease the pain a little.
The Tactacam rep told me today that lightning has been an issue this year.
