$150. Had a gift card to use, so it wasn't quite as painful. But I sat in the display model and it's worth it. I'm too old to sit in shit stands. The comfort is worth the price to me now. Plus, the spot this is going, is going to be my go-to place this fall.

I agree. Shit stands are ok for a early season spot where you are only sitting for a couple of hours. If it is my go-to stand especially during the rut with all day sits, I want something comfortable. It makes a huge difference.

Refreshed a mineral site and dumped some apples while I was out hanging a set of ladder sticks.

I hung a set and helped a buddy hang one as well. Dumped a few apples at both places and ground up some trace minerals to make minerals with.

I went down and roto tilled 50% of my fall plot. Didn't get started till about 7:00 PM. Damn it's hot and dry out there. Had to replace a hydraulic hose on the tractor and hock up the tiller. Pulled the tractor out and backed up to the tiller and 5 ft away I ran out of fuel. First time in over 15 yrs with diesel tractors I ever ran out of fuel. While I sat down and cooled off the wife ran up town and got me a 5 gl can. Got lucky as it started right up as I always hear horror stories about running diesels out of fuel. Maybe it's only trucks and not tractors.
Hope to finish tilling tomorrow, fertilize, cultipack then plant my oats and a radish-turnips-brassica-kale-rutabaga mix.

Went left of center to avoid hitting a doe driving yesterday on a secondary road at 35 mph.
Saw the fawn cross the road in my rear view mirror to catch up with mom .

I gathered about 400# of apples this evening. This will make right at 2500# I have dumped so far. They are always gone when I return with more too.

That's a lot of wasted apple pies.

I planted 1 ac of radish-turnip-brassica today.
