Hung a couple millennium brackets and sticks today. Whew, gotta slow down. I'm usually not getting around to it till mid September.

Nice work Dave!

We went to the farm tonight to join the cool kids club and added some grape Kool-aid to some supplemental feed. Still looking for a shooter, so fingers crossed this helps!

I didn't do squat. Haven't done much of anything. Not in a hurry to do much. Can't shoot yet. Waiting on my elbow to heal up more. Shooters? I don't have a clue. Dont care. Won't matter for another month or two. I'll check cards by then. You guys almost inspire me to do something. But not quite yet.

I did a lot of shooting over the weekend, mostly at 65 yards and 55 yards being the closest. My long range grouping is getting pretty darn good. I will shoot my hunting scenario distances the week before the season. I also managed to get my fall plots planted behind the house. I got a good soaking of rain within 12 hours of planting. Fingers crossed! The Egyptian wheat plot screens continue to grow, the highest spots reaching 8-9ft with another month and a half of maturing to do. I did put some urea out on some of the stunted areas, hopefully they catch up.

Mowed my old plot area behind the house up here last night. Hope to burn off the cuttings and at least throw down some sort of brassicas or throw and grow. Had 6 beds in the tall stuff so that was good. Have plenty of early drops on the apples I'll have the kids pick up today to take back and dump.

I took delivery of some Egyptian wheat seed today. Putting in a new food plot on the west side of the farm where a N-S trail comes across the road and through my over grown pasture with cedar trees. There is a open spot next to my daughter's house about 50 yds away and wanted a screen type of planting. Should get 5-7 ft tall.

I bought a bushel of winter rye at the local feed mill on Saturday. I paid a whopping 50 cents a pound for it, 50 pound bag came to $16.78. I had good luck with it last year, and it stayed green all winter.

Math must not be your strong point...[emoji23]
Holy fuck Dave, A damn bushel is 56 pounds. So I didn't buy a fuggin bushel. All I know is he told me is was going for 50 cents a pound, I didn't sit in the truck and whip the calculator out after I bought it. It was cheaper than he said, that's all I care about.
