I ate and knocked down a shitload of cobwebs for them today...

Took my boys for a walk to check things out. All the paths being used right now don’t have any trees around for an areal ambush. So I will stick to the ground on this place until the corn comes down and they change up patterns.

We did come across boots prints, so I know the other hunters are doing the same thing I am. Gonna have to pattern them! I know they are from Dayton and only hunt weekends.

You always seem too lose a half of shooting light in early season hunting thick cover overhead...
That's why I stay on field edges, and anymore I'll only hunt early season if there's a good chance of me killing the buck I'm after. I do need to whack a doe early this year, but who knows if I'll actually do it[emoji23]

Formatted some cards this morning. Hasn’t been my cup of tea the last couple of years. But going out and taking a doe or two off the place seems irresponsible without a proper population check.

Probably catch a pic of a giant and ruin my season! 😤😪
