Now I work for the Navy managing parts for ships. It's not near as sexy as jet fighters, helicopters, bombs and missiles, but it pays the bills and it is meaningful work.

So, you’ve always worked for the Navy then? 
I'm a lawn mower jockey, wheel barrow jockey, snow plow jockey, parking lot sweeper jockey, landlord, tree stand salesmen, plumber, carpenter, secretary, janitor, mechanic, backhoe operator, marketing/sales, welder, garbage man, HR, also in purchasing, nursery grower, accounts receivable, accounts payable Dept, equipment fabrication, and a couple other things. I even do laundry but I definitely don't cook.
My wife and kids just see me as the asshole who pays the bills though.

I'm a welder. Been welding for almost 20 years .

Engineering Manager for a company called Rockwell Collins.
Specifically my team designs avionics for military end customers.
Although I have never been in the military, I like knowing the equipment we design helps our war-fighters complete their missions.

I will add that this is a profession I’m pretty new at. I’ve seemed to have changed a bunch of times. One of these days if I think of it, I’ll write up my work career.

IT Analyst for Ford Motor Company by day.... Lawn care business by night.
Electrician by trade, although now in the capacity of estimator/supervisor. So my former peers are my subordinates and they are the reason I drink [emoji37]. Seriously though, I’m fortunate enough to truly enjoy what I do
