My youngest wanted to do trades, he couldn't decide, it got a job with a high end roofing company that not does slate and copper. I told him that he might as well go high end in a trade job. What he is learning is pretty cool.
I am a Commercial Plumbing Division Manager for a large MEP Company in Central Ohio. I am always looking for Journeyman Plumbers. Currently i have 82 plumbers working for me.
I also retired from the Air Force after 20 years active duty.
I'd love to use him for chimney flashing dang!!! There will always be rich folks to pay for specialty trade work. The rich Romans had lavish vacation homes and lived better than we currently do 2000 years ago. In residential trades you have to live or travel where the money is to do amazing work like this....most new homeowners here can't afford to upgrade from 2x4s plastic and asphalt. If they have any extra they put it in home entertainment or landscaping.
