What's For Dinner?

Deep fried Saugeye, fries, home made slaw and tartar sauce, first Chanterelles of the year sauteed in butter and finished with some fresh chives and a splash of White Balsamic vinegar. Tits. :D

Otherworldly grilled cheese.

This requires a thorough description to appreciate what it is like to eat it. On the outside, on one side you can easily identify the Jalapeño slices embedded in the buttered sourdough, but the other side is melted/browned grated extra sharp white cheddar cheese. Between the bread is Yellow American cheese, caramelized onions, chopped up leftover buffalo woodland wings (squirrel thighs) and Gouda cheese. This is also most excellent with leftover brisket or pulled pork.

I don't know if ya'll see as many recipe videos on social media as I do, or if it's just a fat guy thing and the algorithm has me pegged. I kept seeing this recipe for "Brazilian lemonade." I love citrus, and was intrigued by how easy this would be to try. Funny thing, it uses limes instead of lemons. If you haven't seen a video for this one yet, here's what I did:

-zested skin off 4 limes
-quartered each lime, and cut the "meat" off the rind
-put the quarters in a blender with 3 cups of water and pureed it
-strain the bits out
-back into blender with a handful of ice and abut 1/3 can of sweetened condensed milk
-pour over ice

It's surprisingly good. I also read adding tequila is a good option.
