What's For Dinner?

Grilled venison loin, sauteed snow peas from garden, sautéed Chanterelles cut today, grilled pita brushed with evoo, garlic and oregano. Summer eating is awful good.

I had been wanting to try smoked salsa for a while and finally made it happen yesterday. This is a recipe I found online for smoked salsa verde.

Smoked the peppers, onion, garlic, and tomatillos first.

Blended down with cilantro, chicken stock, lime juice, and salt.

It simmers on the stove for 15 minutes and it's done. Tasty stuff. I filled one small jar in the fridge to have this week and canned two small jars for the pantry.
