Tried that mississippi pot roast everyone was bragging about. Pics would look the same if I took one tomorrow... It was good but not sure it lived up to the hype.

Makes the short list for last meal contention. My sister got us a gift certificate for a local butcher shop, so I spurlged and got 4, inch thick ribeyes on Friday. Seasoned with the new Blanco from Meat Church, then sealed for 48 hours. Top dressed with the Buttery Steakhouse blend from Kinders, then grilled over charcoal. The taters were made with Potato Slayer from Fire & Smoke Society. Heavy butter in the cast iron and you could serve those with about any meal, especially some sunnyside eggs!

Asparagus (from my garden)and Fiddleheads(from Nancy's flowerbeds), with shaved Dryad's Saddle (from Nancy's walk with dogs today). Token home made Parmesan sausage, grilled. This spring salad is from The Forager Chef, Alan Bergo, and is really something if you can gather all the ingredients at the same time. There are Ramps in this recipe, too. My lucky day. I think I might fry another doughnut for desert. ;)
