My bid was accepted on a 5 acre woodlot in Edon, Ohio! It's connected to a larger woodlot and is located across the street from the St. Joesph River. It's loaded down with turkeys and I know it holds deer. Finally, a place I can call mine.:pickle:

Congratulations Mike! That is TOO good!

Rolled out of bed at 5AM to take one of my best friends to the farm so I can set him up on Jack. He's having a horrible year with some unthinkable things derailing his season. He and I go back go 8 years old playing baseball, and I helped him get in to archery. He's ate up with it now, so maybe a good rut hunt on the farm will keep the fire burning.

Passing it forward, that's TOO good!

I had to laugh at him because his asshole slams shut at the thought of climbing a tree and I made him bring his climber. If I've ever seen a monkey fugg a football with his bunghole wired shut, I saw it this morning! Then when I leave, I realize he's only 16' off the ground. lmao

Good news is he asked me to stop on the way in because he smelled deer. I turned the flashlight on and pointed out the mock scrape I made back in October. It's torn up!!! He's on a hogsback overlooking a bowl with a great doe bedding area behind him. We've seen no less than 5 good bucks on that hogsback since 2008, so I have confidence he's in for a good hunt. Just hope it's the best of the season!

Wow, that would be awesome to see him get on a good deer out there Jesse! Hope he has an awesome day!

I have two more days of work this week, then I'm off for eight days. I left work early and hunted the field edge where I saw the droptine buck. Plan on doing the same thing today and tomorrow. I'm beginning to notice a pattern with the bucks and how they cross this field, so if the next two sits show the same as the last three, I will be making my move Friday at lunch to put myself in a better position. Looking forward to hunting hard over the next week, and the weather is looking perfect to do so!

I made it through my second night shift last night and have three more to go. It feels good to get back to work even if it is on midnights. We seen a nice red fox on the ride home this morning and a coon. Makes me want to get some cable hung soon.

I have some stew going in the slow cooker to take to work tonight. Having hot grub sure beats the hell out of vendor sandwiches.

Today also makes 90 days clean for me.
