Driving down the road with the kids, and I was running out of answers for all the questions about crows, turkey buzzards, and seagulls being asked so I threw out my final answer, "well, because that's how God made them." Which usually satisfies the interest. And it did, but them my daughter starts thinking about God, and out comes the statement, "Daddy, God is so smart that he knows everything, and he can even read more better than my brother can, did you even know that?!"

Just ripped the XBox out of the wall. I was sick of the kids thinking the world revolved around it. I have my TV back! That's good!!!

Good to see you got the boob tube back. Dang kids and wife have run me off of mine. Oh well no biggie. Never anything worth watching on it anyway and with the net I can watch some of my shows on the computer lol.

Hey Cotty, If you have a slightly used scratch and dent X-box for sale later today let me know. Just kiddin ya :) My son wants an x-box 360 with that kinects crap to play around on. I guess they had one for the fun fair at school last year and he loved it. held him off this long but he sure does play the hell out of the WII.

Love Geneva Badger... looks like you guys are having a nice time. Enjoy!

Just got back from scouting. Glassed a pretty good buck at one of my spots tonight. Well past his ears and looked fairly decent. Need to slip a camera in there and get some pics.

Worked my tail off today. My buddy ran the tractor with the 12' offset disk, and I ran the tractor with the front end loader pushing out downed trees. Should have brought a bobcat and would have saved some serious time. Oh well, two plots ready to seed, and another area turned for the first time in decades. Turn it again in a couple weeks and seed it and we will be ready to host major late season deer parties! Hung 5 cameras on another property in hopes of finding a ghost!

Finally sitting down and trying to relax. Reminds me, I think it is time for some Crown and Coke! Now that is TOO good!

Just finished cleaning up the kitchen so I can take the kids on a quad ride to hang a couple more cameras. That is TOO Good!

While cleaning the kitchen I was listening to the kids discuss shot placement and how to kill a deer while using poor Brutus (our boxer) as a training aide. I hear my son saying "You want to shoot right here to hit the lungs and heart. Hey Brutus! Stand up Brutus! Come over heeerre Brutus. Get back here!" I was smiling as Brutus was obviously not interested in being used for the demonstration. Next thing I hear is "Okay, c'mon Brutus, over here. See Graci? You shoot them right here." I guess ol' Brutus decided to cooperate. "Then you go mmmrrrrrrraaaa and they stop. Bang bang! Lay down Brutus. You are dead now."

While imitating killing a deer while using the dog is probably not the best thing in the world, I know they love the dog and would never hurt him. I thought it was very cute they were talking about shot placement. Maybe it is time to tuck away Big Game Hunter on the Wii for a little while. lol

It was damn fine meeting you as well! Finally crossed you off that "must meet" list that seems to be getting shorter all the time! Any time you are in the area, let me know and we'll try to bullshit about big deer over cold beers. It doesn't really get any better than that my friend!!!

I got up this morning and helped aholdren look at some ground he's hunting this fall. Had a good time walking some good ground with a great guy. Any time you need something out there, you let me know. It will be a bitch to get a big old buck out of the holler back there, so I'll come out with the Rancher and we'll make quick work of him! Good luck out there this fall buddy!!!

Headed to the farm after that to seed a food plot. I got two of them done this weekend, which is two less than I wanted done, but two more than I had done. I checked cams and then headed home to find out my ball game was cancelled tonight. With the rain and hot, humid weather, we enjoyed a lazy Sunday watching Insidous and the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Ate a great dinner, now laying in bed watching some TV and playing on TOO...

We sold our popup camper this spring since we had been planning on an upgrade. Had a house rented for a week vacation this year and knew we wouldn't be using the popup much this year. Honestly planned on buying a camper in the fall or over the winter when we could find the best deal. That changed last week when I got a phone call from my uncle about one of his buddies selling their camper. The description filled our needs, the pictures he sent looked good, and the price was right. Looked at it tonight, made an offer, and bought ourselves another camper. I think we will be hitting Old Man's Cave in a couple weeks! Going to feel good to sleep on a real bed rather than the pull out crappy bed in our old popup camper!

My lil 4 yr old daughter has a new picture in her room, and is asking for a pink camo bow...

This is from Saturday morning. She's pulling it back on her own, hitting the target, and making Papa smile...

Very cool pic Curran! She's gotta make you proud I bet! I'm still working on getting my youngest involved. Small steps though. Thanks for sharing.

Phil - I like the new camper! You guys will have fun with that thing for sure.

Sean - That is awesome getting your daughter involved at such a young age, and great picture as usual!
