Great pictures and adventures for the family Dave!

Erin bought me tickets to a sportsman's dinner tonight. She said it sounded like fun and knew I'd like it. I questioned her sanity. She said to take one of the boys or a friend if I wanted. I laughed and said "Nope. You wanted a date night. Now you get to experience something new." She went open minded although a bit apprehensive. We didn't win any 50/50 or raffles. I chatted with some guys I knew. Erin tried some wild game she wouldn't have ever had the chance to try anywhere else. I am glad she got out of her comfort zone and tried some stuff. She drew the line at raccoon and kraut. So did i. We also both passed on the opossum. I had the turtle soup but she passed. She really liked the boar and antelope. Nice to get away with my lovely bride sometimes.

Didn't know if it stunk or looked greasy.

I couldn't tell. It was so smothered in kraut, you really couldn't tell. I didn't really have any desire to try it. There was plenty of choices, so I kept walking. Probably 8-10 tables which were 8-10' long each were all lined up with dish after dish after dish.

Never had coon with Kraut, but damn I love kraut. I have had young coon BBQ'd and you couldnt tell the difference from BBQ beef. Tried roasted possum with herbs and its was gross. Young groundhog is good too. I miss the old "Roadkill Fest" the local Pheasants forever Chapter held

CJD3, Buckmaster, Hoytmania and I had were at a fellow too members (Badgers) house for a small get together and had groundhog and it was far better than I'd of thought lol

What's good? My son sneaked in on us Tuesday for a visit... We were planning on heading down that way (South Carolina) for a visit next week but his fiancé has surgery scheduled Tuesday so that put the trip on hold... The wife was really taking it hard so he came home for 5 days and didn't tell any of his friends and spent the whole time at the house with us.... The wife went from depressed too ecstatic which is always good lol....

Got a real Sunday fun-day lined up tomorrow. My buddy and cousin are meeting me at the farm in the AM. Putting out minerals, pulling/hanging stands, setting up ground blind for turkey, starting on the K's Spot food plot are on the agenda. The girls are coming out in the afternoon to hang out. Probably fish a little and take them on a short walk in the woods. I haven't been to the farm in over a month. Can't wait to spend some time running around out there.

Ya buddy, sounds like fun! I think I'm going to hang a stand tomorrow in the pinch point I found while the sign is still fresh!
