Thanks guys, but she deserves way more credit than I do lol....

She wore both parent hats for way too long over the years... Couldn't have asked for a better partner in life....

Congrats to you both. I got 20 yrs on you and the future will only get better.

Spent the weekend down at my Dads house. We went fishing for Catfish at his Aunts house, used rancid chicken breast soaked in Strawberry Kool Aid. He thought I was crazy, but it worked. We ended up catching 6 good sized cats. He was using a couple of really old Zebco reels which ended up tangling like crazy. So I convinced him that it was time to get a new reel. Went to Bass Pro and he bought a 7' Medium Heavy Ugly Stik. Friday we went back out and didn't catch a damn thing. Didn't matter, we enjoyed our time together. Beautiful weather all weekend. Saturday we chilled at his place and smoked some ribs. Sunday he was a little emotional when I left. Dad wasn't around for quite a while when I was a kid, a decision I know he regrets. We are trying our best to make up for it now.

This is the cove we fished from all afternoon Thursday and a few more hours Friday.

Had a few visitors. 3 Fawns came running out of the woods, followed by mama. She stopped, starred and turned back.

Dad disappeared when I was about 8, decided to show back up when I was around 18 and heading for Basic. He then did it again when I was 21, showed back up when I was 31. He missed out on a lot to say the least. He is a simple man and likes things a certain way. We not only look a lot alike, but we enjoy a lot of the same things. Beer, fishing, country music and IU basketball. This was a great weekend for the both of us. I think Ive taught him more things than he has ever taught me to be honest. I had to teach him how to use an open faced reel lol. That was fun too. Its going to take some more practice, but he will get it. I don't think he goes fishing unless Im with him.

Good stuff Dusting. My dad passed away when I was 30 and 3 of my grand parents passed away before I was born. Last grandma passed away when I was 7.

Good stuff Dustin, glad to see you guys enjoying yourself.

Did a water heater over the weekend. It was for one of the brothers for a farm I hunt. It was actually at his daughters house. While there working he stops in and we get to talking. He tells me about a set of antlers he came up on in the clover field back in the spring. I told him I'd be interested in seeing them. He says, "When your done just stop over and I'll give them to you.
