Thought this was pretty cool! 😎View attachment 106059
Years ago when we just got out of high school, a buddy of mine got a BJ from his girlfriend and that same night noticed he had 10,000 miles on his truck. Again, after a BJ he noticed his truck was at 20,000. (I’m sure he got many in between) When he was coming up on 30,000 miles, he made sure he got one that night. Then it became a inside joke with all of us when our trucks hit every 10,000 miles. With that being said, I have no idea what happens when you get an odometer reading like that. Could be a very interesting night. Let us know what happens.😂😂

What's good? Last night the Internet went out. I went in the basement to reset the router and it didn't have power. I noticed that the whole run was out and figured we popped a breaker. Screw it I'll deal with it in the morning. As I laid in bed it just wouldn't quit bugging me. I went down to check the breaker and nothing was tripped. I then heard a buzzing coming from the box. 😳. I came back up and put on my hunting boots and grabbed a 5-gallon bucket. I had my wife come down to watch me die, stood on the bucket and took the front of the panel off. I cut the lights and tried to see if I could see any arcing. Nada. I then noticed the insulation on the hot wire for the dead leg in question was melting. I took the wire out of the breaker and popped the breaker out. Being a man I had a spare in the garage. I replaced it, snipped the end off the wire in case there was a bad spot in that bend and hooked it back up. Flipped the breaker and had power. This is the first time I've ever had a breaker fail that didn't trip. It must have been getting hot and heating up the wire. What's good? We surely would have had a fire if I just went to sleep. Anxiety for the win. 😅

What brand breaker? There are certain ones known for this shit. Some have lost their UL listing because of it. Arc Fault Protection requirements in the code the 20 +/- years has somewhat addressed this exact situation in new installations but, of course, does nothing for the miliioms of existing situations. Glad it didn’t turn bad for y’all! And couldn’t agree more on the smoke detector comment!

Well been wanting to check on dads apartment since he’s been in the hospital. It’s raining the whole week like instead of building quail cages I should be building the ark.

Anyway w all the moisture and humidity it tends to make our central ac’s to sweat a lot. Well you guessed it the drained was clogged and flooding the floor inside. Not a big deal since it’s just concrete.... it flooded another time a couple years ago and I ripped the laminate up cause it got ruined. Cleared the drain using bleach, then water w bleach. Never a dull moment when shit is running bad I usually can expect a marathon of crap. Still have a big punch list and can’t do shit outside because of the rain. My typical luck, life don’t stop I have to keep throwing punches back lol

I wasn’t trying to say you didn’t have any, just thought it would be a great reminder after you mentioned your situation. A lot of people overlook smoke detectors, but it’s the best safety device you could own in your house.... and it cost less than a value meal at McDonald’s. I’m glad things worked out for you and the family.

It's a GE breaker that a previous owner added when they finished the basement. Einstein also put a 20a on 14ga wire. Back in the day this was ok but modern requires 12ga. I replaced it with a 15. No way it was over drawing as there is only a router and a laptop with a couple monitors plugged in to the circuit. I wrote NFG on it BTW.
