Son drove (my truck) back up to our house from SC Tuesday evening.
He and I left yesterday morning @0500 to drive up to the Akron area to finalize his truck deal.
Pulled in, looked it over, test drove it at varying speeds and then he signed the check.
In and out in an hour. I went to our daughter’s place in Columbiana county and he headed back to our place.
I took off this morning and pulled in a little after noon.
Hung a camera, checked stands, sat on the porch and caught up with the landowners for a couple hours, spent the rest of the evening hanging out with the daughter and SIL.
When I pulled in, grandson was here and got to hangout for a couple hours as well. Spent some time wondering on the boat and wearing out my horn, probably should recharge the batteries 😂
Here’s his latest acquisition.

Back in December if I could survive 2024, the rest of my life would seem easy and I'm here to say that I didn't underestimate things!

The last 4-6 weeks has been a whirlwind of personal and professional highs and lows, which have been building towards a crescendo that hit full force this week. On Tuesday, it looked like the two biggest deals in our organization's history were crashing and burning after 3, and 4 years of work, respectively. Then on Friday, we closed one, meaning we increased our balance sheet by 200%. We also cleared a hurdle on the other project that took us from a standstill, back to full speed in the course of a single business day. Then this morning, after 95 weeks, I wrapped up my masters degree. The amount of relief I feel this morning is hard to explain! Of the 95 weekends, I gave up the better part of 80-85 Sundays to achieve this goal. Pending receipt of my final grades, I may have achieved a secondary goal of getting a 4.0 as well. That's the literal cherry on top!

I now have 5 expensive pieces of paper from OU and am announcing my retirement as a student and that's TOO Good!
