Hey Phil, my bride just got three yards of black mulch delivered for $108, does that price sound ok to you? Seemed a bit high to me. Our landlord paid for it, but I'd hate to see him get reamed as he's been good to us. He gave us the first month here for free.

Dale,
I saw $ 15 per yard in Middlefield yesterday. That's picked up price.

Wifey and I went up to Progressive Field for the Tribe game tonight. We got to sit through our first ever major league rain delay together lol. Actually, they made it to the top of the 8th inning before the delay, so we got to watch a good bit of the game. I think they're about to start back up here in a few minutes, though. Best part of all... I got to watch my dude Josh Tomlin throw against the White Sox. Tomlin was lights-out tonight, too... 7 1/3 innings pitched, 8 Ks, 4 hits, and 1 earned run. We really did have a great time tonight. It's just too bad we didn't get to sit through the entire game.

I'm less than a week away from my turkey hunt with Dale and the guys at Faith At Full Draw. My buddy Jeff came over tonight and hooked me up with lama string silencers and adjusted my brace height a bit. I can't believe how quiet and smooth the bow shot tonight.

We finished the night with a ham I baked, garlic mashed taters, corn and biscuits.

It's all good right now. :smiley_coolpeace:

Cheaper than I can buy it. We are at $40/yard which includes the sales tax. Depends on what you are buying. Ours is a triple shred hardwood bark that is dyed black or brown to hold it's color longer. We can buy "natural" which is double shredded hardwood with no dye cheaper but it is not as nice a product. When we carried it we sold it for $30/yd. There is shredded bark and then there is shredded hardwood. Bark is just that: Bark. Shredded hardwood mulch they throw the whole tree in or the limbs when they are timbering. Does this help you find any answers?

Essentially, you get what you pay for. I sometimes consider carrying the natural, but I just don't know that we can justify the added expense of another product simply to offer something cheaper. Besides this, I am not so sure people would buy it after looking at the other choices.

What is TOO good today? I woke up this morning.

Doesn't sound like we paid too much then.

What's good? Joie and I shared an awesome meal, I mounted some broadheads for this weekends hunt & they flew true, and I also had a good conversation with Huck on the phone. I'll be crashing soon. Goodnight friends!

My sons are outdoors type kids. They rarely spend time inside (prob because I outlawed the Xbox unless its raining). They, along with some neighborhood friends, have been using spare lumber that I had down in a "to burn pile" to build a makeshift clubhouse. Man does this take me back to my childhood. I'm sure a lot of you guys did the same.
They've done all this themselves. Pretty cool!

That is great stuff Mike! Ah the memories! Yes sir, me and Ron built one in our barn and we even had a pencil sharpener! Rotflmao

Heck, we made long assed hay tunnels and played cowboys and Indians in the hay loft and things got even more interesting after night fall. During the summers we were hell bent fer leather playing all day long outside with many days going up till 11 or so at night. Good stuff!!

I have some similar memories as well! Tree houses, riding bikes, back yard football. . . those were the days! Mom used to have to force us to sit down at the picnic table to eat lunch! Then it was back at it until dark. Glad to see your boys outside playing Mike!

its great to see your boys outside doing things like this, it will create some fond memories for them when they are older. and it also lets us older "boys" remember the good ole days of our childhoods! lol

Attention weeds: "Say Hello to my little friend! I introduce you to the Stihl 4.5gal backpack sprayer and generic roundUp in the form of 41% glyphosphate!"

Sprayed my beds, and most of the driveway tonight. I went heavy too! 6oz/gal. Already applied 8 gallons and probably another 4-8gal hitting the gravel tomorrow afternoon. Buh-bye weeds! I love killing stuff, even if it is just weeds!

My daughter and her fiance was over yesterday along with his boy, Ethan, he hit it off well with my chocalate lab, Camo, well they played ball afternoon and just generally just ran non-stop all afternoon, we went in to eat and they was in the living room and it got quiet so we checked on them and I guess they had wore each other out!
