My uncle loaned me a 10" knife and gave me some pointers that really made a difference tonight. I'm done with drywall after a final sanding THANK GOD!!!

You should actually love drywall, because it's all about having really expensive tools. It's one of those things where there really is a $10 difference between knives. That said, I hate it...

All you need is a sharp razor knife, a jab saw, and a good float tool. I can hang and float drywall all day long but fuck sanding it. The last time I did it at my house I floated it out and went to home depot and got a Mexican to sand it. That dust is like ripping cotton with your teeth.

I bought new "dust free" compound and while there is some dust, it is remarkably less dusty. What you sand off tends to fall to the floor rather than float around in the air.

Painting??? Drywall???? Now the finishing part I'll agree with I don't have the patience for that but hanging it and painting afterwards..... No problem.... I've hung a lot of drywall in my day and that's no issue but I'll gladly pay the stilt brigade too come in and finish it :smiley_clap:

I also hate blowing my nose to see what appears to be drywall mud in the tissue. I will cut, hang, mud, and paint with minimal complaints. Sanding sucks.

I don't mind hanging it, but I actually love to finish it... I find it relaxing. I also like painting. Took a long time to get good at finishing drywall, spent many, many hours sanding. That will force you into becoming better at finishing it!

Just wanted to give a big thank you to Hoytmania for helping trouble shoot a problem with my house before leaving for vacation. It sure was nice to get home to a cool house. Your the man Steve.

Saw four legitimate 140"+ bucks tonight on one of the farms I have permission on. Two 10's, a mainframe eight with split g2's, and another buck that was too far off to count points, but was the biggest by far. All I could see on the big guy was brows, and the right looked to be at least 8" long, but he was over 300y away. Also saw a stud of a buck just down the road this morning.

Got me pumped up, this is TOO good!

What a day! Never got to sleep until 220-230am and was up at 7 this morning. Took Geoffrey to a doctor's appointment and got some good reports. No further issues with an issue he had and not another checkup for 6 months!
Headed to Hilliard to help my brother move. Turns out I spent more time trimming trees and pruning shrubs than helping him move. He suckered his older brother into some slave labor! Glad to have been able to help my little bro out. How exciting to see him and his girlfriend buying a house! I know what is coming next.
Slid over to Skeeter Creek to get the Elite GT500 tuned. The service and education you receive there is top notch! In fact, you never know what fellow TOOzer might stop in while you are there. I got to meet Longdraw today! Milo had a kids bow that the boys shot and shot and shot! Now I have at least one bow to dial in and shoot a ton prior to the season! Was able to meet his wife and one of the future hunters as well. For 2 years old that little man is walking, talking, shooting bows, working on things, and well on his way! Cracked me up to see him out carrying arrahs around and a claw hammer. Daddy is teaching him well. Don't piss off any of the Milo clan, they all freakin carry a hammer! lmao

Made it home safe and the kids are tuckered out. TOO long, but a definite TOO good day!

Made it back from vacation Saturday... exhausted & fulfilling at the same time. Watching our kids see the beach & ocean for the first time was simply awesome.

Awaiting the arrival of four new PO#s! It has been a stressful couple of weeks for me trying to ink these deals. Two locations are sweeping only, but the other is lawn/landscape and sweeping! Time to put this chapter of stress behind me and move on with purchasing additional equipment. First thing my wife said "Hmmm . . . maybe I can go back to part time work like I was in school."

Well screw me! I bust my butt and she benefits. It is like we are married or something. I am starting to think my small victory fits in both the TOO Good thread and the Dump Thread! :smiley_crocodile:

Saw the rain coming and told my boss I was leaving a little early for my evening meetings so I could check my cams in the rain. He just laughed, then asked me to hang a cam in the barn so I could pattern a coon that needs permanent relocation services. Having your dad as your boss works out well at times!!!
