Made 4 quarts of regular pie and 3 of hot apple pie tonight. It's "Poser Pie" as shine is hard to come by so I used Everclear, but it tastes good and does the job! Ought to last me a while!!!

Got the wife and kids setup at Indian Lake with the camper for the weekend. Back home and finally done working for the day. I put in 13hrs (yes I include setting up the camper work as I won't be enjoying it with them lol) and I am whooped. They should enjoy it and I plan on busting butt the rest of the weekend and accomplish some projects. Feels great just to take my boots off and enjoy dinner and TOO.

I hear ya on the long hours, I'm working 58 a week mandatory OT. Five 10's and an 8 on Saturday, I hate it mostly because I got put on afternoons and now I don't have a life. I'm going to have to hunt in the morning before work then go to work tired as shit, but I gotta hunt! On a good note I got my last stand hung Friday before work!

What a busy and nice weekend.
Saturday we had our football game. My son started as offensive tackle and defensive guard. He played the first half.
Ended up getting his hand stepped on and his fingers swelled up. Left the game in tears but came back in the 4Q to finish.
I was a proud Dad. We played well. Lost 3-2 (touchdowns)...we don't keep score.
Saturday was also my Birthday so my kids took me to the Indians game. It was Fireworks night so we saw a nice demonstration to U2.
I have some football pictures but my computer caught some kind of virus and won't let me view or save them to my desktop. Weird!
Sunday, my mother planned a family lunch for my birthday then it was off to my daughter's soccer game.
Finished up the evening mowing grass and drinking a couple beers while putting my son's model 69 Yenko Nova together.
A nice family weekend for a change. My normal weekends are yard work or work at Deer Camp.

Lady at the orchard kept her promise and called me about apples. 120 pounds for $16. Should get that deal every other week until October. Putting them out at a different farm today...

My order of hunting supplies all came in today, including a new crossbow, carbon arrows, gun sight paint, wood chips, a meat grinder, a cuber, a spur blind, and other various things! I'm so stoked!
I was a bit surprised to see that a 3 blade Muzzy actually has to be put together. Sure didn't know that. :smiley_blackeye:
Oh, and because someone (can't remember who) mentioned a year ago about Tim Horton's pumpkin donuts....I found a recipe and ordered 2 donut pans TOO! Venison and homemade pumpkin donuts sound real good to me!
