Good luck to you and Garret! He should have a blast with Mason. Sometimes all it takes is a great experience to hook them.
 
We are getting a long, steady soaking rain today which is severely overdue. The creeks are dry and have been for a while. What we are getting today should get the creeks running today and revive the food plots. It's also ushering in a nice cold front that should make things nice for those of us hunting later in the week and this weekend. That's all TOO good!
 
Good to see that rain!! Our creek was pretty dry as well last time we were down. Really like flowing water when we use it so sneak from the house out to stands. No water means leaves pile up and can make for a real crunchy walk in.
 
Lisa and i celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary today.Been a fun ride so far.
She is off work rest of week and me on friday so will celebrate friday.
She hung out with me today and took a quad ride to hang a millennium stand in bracket on tree.
Gonna hunt a little friday morning and then go hiking at Old Mans Cave and whatever else we decide t get into.
Couldnt ask for a better wife.

Congrats on 24 years brother. That girl deserves a medal! I kid buddy. That is something to be proud of. Hope you enjoy your day together on Friday. The new set-up looks good as well.
 
I got a nice secluded spot picked out at one property with a ton of deer sign. Just need to figure out where the stands going and how I'm going to get it back there. Plus got permission on a new property today that has 10 acres of thick woods and corn all around that nobody's hunted in years. :pickle:

Getting pretty pumped about the cooler weather and hoping to shoot a big one this year!
