Getting ready for a road trip with a buddy from work.... Heading too Maxwell AFB Alabama too witness one of my former troops getting his commission into the officer corps on active duty Air Force.... He's heading to Laughlin AFB for his pilots training as he's already a licensed pilot (multi engine).... He's a good troop and I feel he'll excel in his training down there..... This is my third troop too get their commission and one is already a squadron commander over at Mansfield ANG base.... The second is a maint officer here at Youngstown.....
It's going too be a quick trip, we'll be spending tomorrow night with my son and his fiancé both Wednesday and coming back thru Friday evening.... Looking forward too it....

Got my airlift put on the truck, finished up a big job, and picked up a new piece of land to hunt.
BTW when installing airbags when it is chilly out, don't forget to soak the bags in hot water first....first one took a half hour to get in the coil. Well I got smart and heated the second in hot water. Slid right in within a minute.

Dove comes back in today!!! Since I didn't get any the first go around it would be good to get some now. With no snow on the ground there are a few around.
Was out of town yesterday afternoon, last night, and this morning. Got home. Slid down to my office to do some paperwork and what do I find? My right hand and left hand guys had dropped off some Christmas cheer. Pretty darn nice of those guys. Always feels good when it catches you off guard. I wasn't expecting anything but it is surely appreciated. Merry Christmas to TOO.
Ha! I don't think so. One has been with us over 4yrs, the other over 6yrs. These aren't just "guys" that will be here and gone. In this line of work, over a couple years is unheard of. Lot of turnover in seasonal work.
When I bought my truck it was $5.72 a gallon... That was at the Holiday station on Raspberry road in Anchorage. I had to swipe my card three times to fill up!
