I guess I should have backed up the page a little bit. I had a bad habit this past week of hitting the " Mark all forums read " or quick skimming threads since I was busy last weekend and the beginning of this week. Sorry about that fellas.

I tell you what is TOO good, our neighbors! Garrett had a fever. Erin is working tonight. We were out of Children's Tylenol. It is 10PM. Our neighbor, Carolyn came over to watch the kids for me. While I am heading to the store, I see a familiar hand wave in the window of another neighbor's house by the stop sign. I made a quick phone call and Rob brought me out some children's Tylenol. I head back to the house thinking to myself "This must be the way it USED to be everywhere." I am thankful we still have a little slice of old school on my street! You can't put a price tag on good neighbors!

Finally got out yesterday and got my camera hung up. I'm gonna leave it for a month before I check it, so I hope it's in a good spot. Put it in a piece of woods I shed hunted this spring, where I now think the three big bucks behind the house were staying. Had a hell of a time finding my way through the woods with all the summer growth. Sure looks like a different place in June.

TOO Funny greg, Last year I went mushroom hunting on my property and I swear I was lost for a minute....All the overgrowth and stuff makes it totally different than when all the leaves are off the trees...
 
Spent all day with my son at the Zoo yesterday. We got there shortly after they opend so from 9:30 till 4:30 we walked lol. Had a great time and snapped a few pics I will have to get up later today. Overall it was a great day.
 
I had a flat tire and changed it, ran the weed eater and then cut the grass.... A friend stopped by on his way home from the Hospital (girl friend driving), he has a kidney stone and was doubled over when he went..... He was one doaped up and fun person too talk too rotflmao Fathers day meal is going too consist of crab legs and skewed shrimp, steak and twice baked taters lol.... I haven't had anything other then water since 0700 when I had a bowl of cereal man I'm starving and ready for a beer and some grub.... :smiley_clap:
 
Just finished my Mid Term for my first class for my Guidance Counselor certificate. I'm in Intro to School Counseling. The mid term was a 10 question essay test that took me FOREVER! I've been at it since 7:00 this moring and just finished. Holy smokes!!! Well, it wasn't due until Sunday night, so now I can relax. I just hope I answered everything correctly. Check out these questions:
1) Describe personal characteristics you possess that will make you a good counselor. What are your weaknesses?

2) In your own words, describe what counselors do. What do you think the most important role of the counselor is?

3) National and state legislative acts have had significant impact on the counseling profession. In view the current national social problems, what current legislation might you suggest that would affect the field of counseling and enable it to make a more significant contribution to our well-being?

4) Discuss Frank Parson’s three necessary factors that aid in the wise choice of a vocation, as stated in chapter 1. Why did he deem these factors necessary?

5) Discuss the evolution of the counseling profession. Why did it not get started at an earlier period in history?

6) Discuss differences and similarities in the historic development of counseling in schools versus counseling in agency and institutional settings.

7) What are some similarities and differences in elementary, middle school, and high school counseling?

8) Discuss the differences in the lifestyles of a school counselor, a correctional counselor, or a counselor in a private practice.

9) What theoretical orientation do you believe you would feel most comfortable with as a counselor? Why?

10) What are the differences among group-counseling, group guidance, and group therapy?

Anybody want to take the final for me????
