What's in your cup?

I found an Angel's Envy barrel pick from Bears Den Liquors just outside Denali in AK. Its clear they don't have much demand for high dollar bourbon at this place since it was a 2024 pick that I got in Sept 2025. 115 proof and a full liter for under 100.00. The port finishing is VERY prominent. This is the first single barrel Ive ever had from AE.

I'm not even sure how they end up with 143 proof after aging?!? That's some HOT brown water lol
Depends on where it's aged. Higher in rickhouse and more water evaporates causing proof to increase, lower the reverse happens. There's also the different proof points at barrel entry. 125 proof is the highest allowed for bourbon, unsure of where Willett barrels theirs.

Fully understand, I am blessed that much of my work is in the bourbon industry =) Like I said its HOT brown water but I am sure full of flavor
Actually it drinks a lot smoother than you'd think. More like a 110-120s proof. Flavor, very much so. Was the favorite pour of many that had shared it, 2025 Birthday bourbon, 2024 WLW and some other high quality pours that weekend. In bringing it to Strouds to share
