Here is my little girl. Studying in Prague this semester. Her decision. She is paying for it. Not much I can say about it. Oh sure, I could put my foot down, but we raise them to be independent and self sufficient. She is over there living her best life. Too close to Ukraine for my liking, but far enough away she should be safe. Raise them the way you are and have been, Jesse. Make them tough. Keep them girlie when the occasion arises. Just know you never stop worrying about them. Doesn't matter how old they get. Mine has a couple years of college left and will likely marry her high school sweetheart and move away in the next few years. Breaks my heart, but I know she will be fine. We raise them to fly the coop, not to suck off the teat until they are 30. Keep up the good work. Try not to blink.

Best advice I can offer going forward is to take notice of how fast the people like your kids and friends around you are aging …

The funny thing is, going forward is that when you glance at your self in a mirror, you don’t notice the aging. The eyes tell your brain “you can still do that or lift this” Your body will like “w t f were you thinking!

Can’t believe how fast time flies. This was 20 years ago, seems like just half that time.
My wife and I found this pic yesterday and we both sure miss those days.

Just be present with them - she was 17 y/o in this one. In this one clip she has two misfires and handles both correctly - then Smiles! Ruger Mark II that I bought at 14 y/o to run my trap lines in 1978 (didn't see a bunch of love) - OBTW that's my buddy John C in the target as the bad guy when he was working with the HRT in Quantico.
