Which way did he go??which way did he go??

I had a rough 3 year patch early in my archery career where I can think of four poorly placed shots that resulted in 3 unrecovered deer. One deer I seen a couple month later and the others I have to guess eventually died and the coyotes got them. Each time I tried my best, backed up for a long period of time, and looked for hours on end to try and recover those deer. The fact of the matter is it happens, it happened to me already, and will probably happen again before my career in bowhunting is finished. I just try to concentrate a little harder and do not take any marginal shots that I know I couldn't make 9/10 times.

Sean, I could be wrong, but I'm not sure what you are suggesting is legal. Even if you are tracking a wounded animal, I don't believe you can have a hunting instument in hand after legal shooting time.

I completely understand Schu, and left these examples open ended so people could just think about it some.

Glad you did, and mentioned it. Like some of the others have mentioned, we live in a world full of gray areas, and it's up to the individual to decide what to do in a particular situation.

Good thread Guys!!
