We walked proximately a 1/2 a mile searching stuff where he swore that deer went to. I circled around the middle of a thicket with Maxx headed back to last blood.... because I knew something was wrong. We got down wind of the deer and Maxx went totally ballistic. I was about to give him hell for dragging me through the weeds but after I ducked that last branch and came backup, I saw 2 tines and Maxx was already tearing the leaves up trying to chew on that deer. Had we made it back to last blood probably 50 yds.

More proof as to why it’s a better idea to trust a dog over a person any day of the week.
