Nice start to a Sunday morning! My neighbor called last night, saying his boy shot a doe that acted funny after the shot. Was also concerned about it being that it just started raining. We agreed to watch the ball game and track it this morning. Very little blood but Maxx was working it alright. In the bottom, the lead got very tight and Maxx was digging hard, then the deer's tail popped clean off! Colt has shot some nice bucks, but this first doe will be remembered forever!

Great Job Colt and Maxx!

Maxx went 2 fer 2 Sunday!
Had a gut shot deer call for Quaker City. At 12 hrs we put Maxx on the hair pile and off he went. One scent pool had him baffled for a few minutes... Thats when the deer took us to hell and back! Track took us down a very steep hill you couldn't hardly walk on! Maxx got some tail in the creek, deer was gutted, and we were faced with the worst deer drag I have ever even seen! Took us just over an hour to get it 400 yds up a 40-45° hill.
Dave made a good shot, but steep angle/qtr to was plugged by guts. Deer bled very little and Maxx Dawg gots a new friend.

Goooboy Maxx! You a badass!

I always told hunters my dog is 100% finding dead deer. The ones he didn’t find weren’t dead. Technically I was correct. Most hunters think if they drew blood the deer will die. This is not the case as you know. My dog”s” were never as good as maxx, singly because they were trained duck ducks first, w a side of blood trailing. You’re not gonna find every deer on every track, simply because they aren’t dead. Yes some will die from infection but most wasn’t.

I’d love to know what broadheads people using and the success rate of them. I probably already know the answer.

Had a guy recently ask me: Just how good is your dog?
"He is as good as your shot"

Another one recently said: "Look man I've tracked a lot of fucking deer in my time!"
I said: "Well good! Track this one too..."
Click......... Block.
It was liver/gut hit. Wanted to track it NOW!

The broadhead question is: Mega Meat, Swackers and Rage broadheads leave some pretty big holes. (Only to name a few) The Best one on the Market is called "Shot Placement".

Problems for many:
Limbs/branches in the way.
Not knowing shot distance.
Hard qtr away and still aiming for a broad side shot.
Deers head was down.
Frontal shots.
No practice from elevated position.
Playing on their phone and deer startled them~ rushed shot.
Being a Michigan Fan... GO BUCKS!!!!! 🤣
