Wool socks

My Duluth socks are still going strong. I have a pair of light weight that I wear a couple days each week. I have a pair of the no show for my tennis shoes. They get worn a couple days a week during the summer. I have one pair of heavier boot socks. They only get worn during the coldest times of the year. I have had all three pair for 6 years or more. The light weight pair I live year round are getting towards the end of their life. Probably get one more year out of them before replacing them.

I had a $50 gift card to Duluth Trading Co. Never been there or know much about them except their stuff is pretty expensive for me. Just went on their website and found 3 pair of Merino wool socks and another pair of socks. Total was $55 after tax. Cost me $5 shipped toy door. We will see how I like them. The 3 pair of Merino were different weights and one was with copper. We shall see.
Cough cough 🤧 😬

I’ve never worn their socks, but I sure love their underbritches. I’ve gotten 2-3 years out of a few pairs.
I still have underwear that I was given/supplied/bought in the basic officers leadership course (my basic training) 9 years ago

Darn tough socks....
So far so good with one exception. I wash them cold water and on delicate heat (coolest setting the dryer has) just like my other merino stuff and i swear the one pair shrunk.

The hunting socks were great at the muzzy hunt. The other ones are really comfortable.

I also picked up a pair of the minus 33 expedition weight ones. I'm at the lower end of the size at 12 for an XL and i can tell, i prefer a more snug fit. I'll probably pass them onto my son as he's in 13s and still growing and complains of cold feet when hunting.

Every so often camofire will offer up wool socks at pretty good discounts. I picked up 3 pair last time they did. None of them seem terribly thick, but I'll post thoughts about them as I wear them. Woolrich, Lorpen and Wigwam are the brands.

I've used the lorpen midweight and light hikers and they work great, picked off camofire.

Had this talk this weekend. I had forgotten to pack clean socks and wasn't worried. Freaked a few people out. Damn cotton sock wearing fools just don't know!

@bowhunter1023 I don't remember where the jockey underwear talk happened (maybe the pocket knife thread?), but I like the thigh fit better on the UA. These are tight! The stitch line it better placed on these though. I guess we will see how the last before I make my final decision.

That stitch line killed it for me on the jockeys
