I'm excited for this! Maybe because of coming off a great weekend, maybe because levi is overdue. Either way, I'm pumped up! It's way early so we should be in some rut action still. I like that i haven't seen any deer the last 2 days. Maybe they'll be running all over this weekend. We have a pretty good place lined up if everything works as it should.

How about you?!

I hope your boy nails one. My son (10 years old) was working his way up to this being his first hunting season but he just told me he wanted to wait till next year. I’m going to respect his decision and not rush him. He still wants to go with me in the blind which tells me he still has an interest…

If savannah would of had a gun last night she would of been sitting behind a 160. He ended up coming in but all we could do is watch the show because it was to dark. I'm not expecting to see him again this weekend but there was 10 other does out and he was only harassing one. Hopefully he just goes thru the friend group like I use to. 🤪

My boys and I are heading down to eastern Ohio tomorrow night. Deer camp will range from 10 to 75 years young. Liam is looking forward to sitting with @Dannmann801
He’s in good hands. Dan passed his 2024 Deer Training Course this week. My son had today off from school due to a water main break. He was practicing at home with Grandpa in my backyard with the Ruger .480 pistol. Sounds like he’s ready to go for Adult opening day.

Ok.... Heres my take on the youth hunt..... If I had a son or daughter that was getting into hunting, there's no way I'd take them to someone's spot that has deer feeding out of feeder... That to me is not hunting... I'd rather take them out and locate a spot passing on my knowledge and bond with them through this process... Doing it this way even if the kid harvests a spike it will be more special than any booner ever will...
