We got pinned down in the yard after my first post. Deer running all over the woods in every direction. Then it all stopped when legal light came in. Still fun!

Rattled in 3 bucks this morning.good 8 almost got shot but everytime he stopped his vitals were behind a tree.

Sooner or later I’ve figured out they want to go. At ascertain point you realize your hunting for them point and shoot situation . Not hunting
I would have took his gun left and waited for him to come back and said what. Woke up at 5 am and was going to get kid up up but then said if he really wants to go he will get me up.
I’ve taught many kids to hunt and tricks to keep them invested .
Been through same thing you have in the instant but i would have shakes him and woke him up and said why didn’t you shoot that buck it’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen
