Sterling is getting mature enough and has shown enough interest that I'm going to start taking him hunting. I'm going to set up a place up on my parent's land and do some sits in a blind. The main point will be to have fun, part of that experience and lead-up is wearing camo. I guess I can buy it at the same place we buy camo but to be honest I'm not really looking for function as we'll be in a blind and he has plenty of warm clothes. I'm thinking buy it large because he's growing like a weed and can wear it over his regular stuff. Hell the boy just turned 6 and is 48.75 inches tall already 😅 I know there are a ton of guys on here with experience in this area.

I've bought most of savannahs from dunhams or the fin when they have sales. She's been growing quick and can wear some of my old stuff now even tho they are big on her. Cooper gets all the stuff savannah has outgrown.

Hey it was 42 this morning. 😅. You know how that southern cold is. I'd take 30 in Ohio over 50 in Ms. Know how it feels really cold right before it snows, then after the snow you'd swear it warmed up. Well we never get the snow to suck the moisture out of the air.

I'll see what we might have left over. Levi being such a slow grower, closed are usually trashed by the time he's done with them. Probably doesn't help that most if his stuff came from guys on here and his 2 older siblings. 🤣

Can confirm. Southern and Ohio cold are 2 different animals. I always compare it to furnace and AC usage. In the north, when it's cold, you can get out of it because people use their heat more. In the south, when it's hot, you can get out of it because everyone uses the AC. It's different between the climates. Can't get out of the heat in Ohio, can't get out of the cold in the south. I remember late July and August in Georgia, you would need a sweatshirt to go into a grocery store. Go into a grocery store here in January, you're peeling off clothes. Just my experience.

I bought most of mine used off of EBAY, Facebook, and some local auctions. Saved a good bit of money doing that. Really an issue with 3 kids. There was 1 auction that had a ton of hunting clothing, and I bought most of it. LOL.

The coveralls work pretty well and I had several sets of them. They could wear what they needed for warmth underneath and then put the coveralls over top.

We gave ours away to another family a few years ago that had younger kids when we were cleaning out or I would send you what I had.

I bought a kids scentlok suit on sale. Bibs, vest, and coat. Very adjustable a little big for 6 but should last till she’s 8. I would recommend she hasn’t complained once about being cold and it was definitely cold youth weekend.
