Kid ended up pretty dang sick. The other boy has a day filled with basketball. New plan deployed after talking with Brock. If this works, it's gonna be bad ASS! Lol

Good luck to everyone going out in the morning. Expect to see alot of happy hunter pics this weekend!
Saw a shooter behind the house tonight harassing some does. So I concocted a small buck decoy out of an archery target. Took off the larger rack that comes with the target and screwed on an old 4 point that was in the barn from years ago. Nobody but us hunt on our property so plan is to carry this decoy back in the dark and put him about 50 yards from the blind in the open field. Hopefully the shooter sees him and comes in looking for a fight.

Son decided to hang out with friends so we came up tonight to hunt tomorrow, not pushing him, totally his call. Got here at a little past 10:00, driving down the road, got about 75 yards from the driveway and this boy was standing next to the road, he ran just a little bit, then stopped so I could take his picture. Plus 4-6 more in the cut part of the corn.
Hopefully he gets a crack at him, Clay…. Good luck.

We are back in and setup, well, have been for about half an hour. Target buck is going to be the split main beam Turkey foot buck! But we will take anything! Wish me and the youngest luck! Retrieval of his doe after the morning sit, hopefully! It’s an Xbow and blind kind of day today!

Got a little wet putting the decoy out. Back under shelter again with the heat on. Might have to grab a sweatshirt with this moist air. Lol

Youngest sons doe recovered! Phone died while recovering so no pictures as of yet. Home to drop him off, with the doe. Hang her really quick, head back out with the oldest! Good luck boy and gals! Oh btw, we saw one spike this morning and 11 more does! Hopefully there’s a couple more with antlers this evening!
Keeps them out longer silent with extreme minimal bitch. All must haves with a small deer population...@Bowkills has the diet of a 12 year old you sent into the gas station with $20. I can appreciate your taste buds!
Been out all day, seen 5 small bucks, no does, hope the last hour and half produce.

Kind of out of the ordinary youth weekend for me with both kids not having buck tags we went out last night and got skunked, today I helped a buddy track one his daughter shot then I got on one myself bedded with a doe but it didn't work out. I came home and asked savannah if she wanted to go and she said no she wanted to stay here and cuddle with her new kitten. Didn't seem to have as much shooting this year around here either.
