Zimmerman trial.

The sad part is that the media, and more so the networks televising the trial, still won. George didn't win, his life has been ruined. The Martin family not only lost a son, which changes their lives forever, but they were used in this circus all just to drive television ratings. The media found a story that they knew would grab people's attention by using "race" as the bait to go fishing. It works every singe time. George is half white half hispanic, and from what little I know he identifies himself as a hispanic. Yet the media tried to make this a black vs white thing. That couldn't be farther from the truth, but still the walking zombie sheeple out there took the bait... hook, line, and sinker.

Think about it from a television business perspective. What's the cost to produce a television series that would grab the national attention like this? What's the cost for the actors, the marketing, the filming, the directing, the editing, etc...? Now, what's the cost to take a real-life situation, exploit it, twist it, manipulate it to fit into race box, and put it on tv? They're making billions & billions off of the Zimmerman & Martin families situation. A situation that clearly did not even have enough evidence to deserve going this far. All the money spent is on the tax payer. The infrastructure for the trial coverage was already in place for the networks, all they had to do was shift their talking heading & cameras in that direction.

I'm not a news person per say. Since you can't believe anything reported in the news as they only report their point of view I very seldom watch it anymore.
However I just had to watch all the experts put their worthless idea on the airwaves today.
And not one news station showed a actual up to date picture of a 17 yr. old only pictures of this cute little 12 yr. old kid. Not fair news reporting.

That is the whole problem with this case from the beginning, there were people who tried to make this whole case about emotion not facts.

Why doesn't the pic on the left surprise me?!?!

From Fox News

For real?

I guess so. I saw it on FB, so I ran a Google search and found this:

"Just when we thought the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case was over after Zimmerman’s acquittal, the Obama Administration has taken the steps needed to file federal charges, thus sidestepping the well established double jeopardy, against Zimmerman. Unidentified sources within the Administration have confirmed that Obama, and Justice Eric Holder at the Department of Justice have filed charges against Zimmerman for “violating Trayvon Martin’s civil rights”."

George Zimmerman is found Not Guilty in the killing of Trayvon Martin.

Despite the judge and the media..... The case ended up as it should have.
Hope G.Z. sues the state for what was done to him.

I think that's just a news story gone arrant. The NCAA has asked them to but I doubt they will. They've already been made a mockery of and if they look at the case file it'll happen again if they pursue charges. Nothing GZ ever said was racist. Nothing in his previous calls was racist. He even called on some white people. He was even mentoring two black children whose father was in prison for life. They don't have a case. If they did have a case against race the overzealous Florida prosecutors would have most certainly included hate crime and other civil rights stuff in their charges.

Sure hope you're right. Zimmerman is going to have a hard time of it for many years anyway, with his face being so well known.

None of this should have even gone on.

Financially he'll be ok. He'll get a cut of the lawsuits that Omara and west file against the state, prosecutors office, media etc. it'll be rough for a bit but he can drop that 100 pounds, change his name, and blend right back in. West and Omara are suing the state for withholding evidence they knew about a year ago and for the "thousands" of hours they had to work extra to get evidence from the prosecutors and state.

Fed charges have been over and done with for over a year. The NAACP and Obama Administration had the FBI looking into "hate crimes" based on race. The FBI. Didn't have any evidence to go on so the did not charge GZ with anything.

Something to watch for...my prediction:

The Judge from this case will get a Federal bench position soon...

I bet Rick Perry calls him and asks if he has ever thought of living in Texas...he'll drop the 100 pounds, buy a nice house in the 'burbs, write a book, get in with a security / neighborhood watch program as a big name speaker and do just fine.

Media Agenda for sure! I've been busy the last couple days and haven't been on here much or watched the news. When I got home this morning after midnight I saw in the "ticker loop" at the bottom of a news station(HLN I think) ALERT JURY REACHES SHOCKING VERDICT! Momentarily I thought the jury came up with a guilty verdict for murder or manslaughter then as I flipped a few stations and saw all the media pundits(the majority anyway) showing where they were upset and appalled by the decision! Fuggars!!!!!! I turned the TV off and went to bed.

This was clearly an open and shut case and the witch hunters aren't happy! I hope GZ sues the crap out of somebody! I feel for the Martin family for losing a child and for both GZ and them for having to go though this. IMO, there were no winners in this as GZ will be having to looking over his shoulder from here on out and the media will prolly not either side move on from this!
Ditto to Phil's post as well.
