Zimmerman trial.

I thought they proved that the injuries to Zimmerman didn't match up to his testimony about all that that Nugent wrote about?

Either way, the guy never should have followed the kid. He called the cops and he should have left it at that. It doesn't sound like he committed murder, but he was an ass of the first degree. It all could have been avoided if he wouldn't have followed him like the operator suggested.

But the real winner here is why this case even received so much publicity... That's the real shame. Gotta love the media.

Actually. If you watched the trial and the step by step walk through. GZ did not follow TM except when ASKED by the dispatcher "can you get to a place where you can see him again" GZ drove around the corner and TM took off running. The dispatcher asked for an address. GZ didn't know the street name. He got out to walk between some houses to the next street over to get a house number there as he knew that street. He was walking back to his car and asked the dispatcher "do you want me to follow him" and the dispatcher said "no, we don't need you to do that" moments later TM jumped out after GZ after having circled back. AT no point beside the first instance did GZ follow TM. And he was asked if he "could get to a point where he could see him". Besides all that. A 911 operator is not law enforcement and has no legal authority to tell you what to do. That's from their own mouth. They can only suggest. So even if the dispatcher did. So what. It's not against the law to follow someone.

As for the injuries. The only thing the prosecution proved was GZ got his ass beat. And the only testimony contrary to that they produced was a out of state for sale medical examiner who will likely be brought up on perjury charges. He never even saw GZ. Just pictures. But the defense provided plenty of testimony that proves his injuries were indeed significant. But none of that matters either. Self defense does not rely on injuries. It relies on ""an honest belief that your life is in danger or you are in danger of grievous bodily harm". Keyword. "Belief". Meaning you just have to believe it. If someone walks up to me and says. "I'm going to kill you" bang dead. I don't actually have to wait on them to try. Only believe they're serious.

And that "kid" was 5,11" 170 pounds and had a history of not only assault but also organizing and participating in competitive street fights.

Are you sure about that? I am not familiar with FL laws but generally if you initiate an attack then it is not self defense anymore.

Technically he is right. But also technically your ass is going to get the book thrown at you when you try to claim "self defense". Odds are you're going to the pen if you touched the other person first.

Which only makes Mark O'Mara more impressive because they waived using it as defense back in April...ballsy.

Plus it's kind of hard as a prosecutor to claim zimmerman threw the first punch when trayvon didn't have a mark on him except his knuckles. And GZ didn't have a single mark on his knuckles but plenty on his head.

I was in hypothetical land with that scenario, talking about stand your ground.

Your summary was right, GZ got his fat ass handed to him and the prosecution did prove that. Hell, the defense put his former gym trainer on there to prove that he was a pansy too!

What did the gym owner say about him. Oh yeah. "I wouldn't let george shadow box for fear of his shadow winning". Lawyer: rate mr zimmermans abilities on a 1-10. "A .5" lmao.

I bet Rick Perry calls him and asks if he has ever thought of living in Texas...he'll drop the 100 pounds, buy a nice house in the 'burbs, write a book, get in with a security / neighborhood watch program as a big name speaker and do just fine.

I have nailed predicting this case all along! Guess who got pulled over for speeding in Texas today? With a legal firearm in his glove compartment and got off with a warning....ole George. I knew he'd go to Texas!

Dude needs to stay armed. With all the death threats and half the black population looking to kill him, bet your sweet @ss I would be holding on to my CCW lol.

Shame on the media for not allowing him to move on with his life and try and stay under the radar. Now everybody knows he is in Texas just because some dude was pulled over. If it would have been any other joe blow you wouldn't have heard a thing about it let alone splattered on every news forum. Nothing like jepodizing somebodies saftey just for a stupid news story

Pretty sure Treyvon's girlfriend was about 4 times bigger than that girl...

Oh, and Treyvon wasn't a ghetto thug! He was a nice young kid!
