Got rabies shots Thursday night due to a feral kitten bite. Feeling weak today, but all in all the 14 shots were not bad at all. The chance of that kitten having rabies was slim, but that wasn't a chance I was going to take with a fatal outcome if it was. I need to go and get 1 more today and then three more throughout the next month.

Thanks guys. Since I was already bit, I should have grabbed him and them maybe I wouldn't have had to go through all of this. I'm a complete dumbass...:smiley_depressive:

It's a good thing to remember. If you get bit by any wild animal kill it and try not to damage its brain. If you can give them the dead animal they can look at its brain for rabies and you might not have to take the shots.

That really sucks, Mike... But you did the right thing. With rabies, if you delay vaccination until after symptoms are noticed, it's too late... you're a goner. You could have had the kitten tested and there's a good chance you'd get your answer soon enough. But symptoms can appear in humans anywhere from 3 days after exposure to several years after exposure. IMO, I'd rather get the shots ASAP! Hope you get to feeling better man.

It figures... As soon as I get a little extra cash in my pocket, something breaks down. Got in my truck to leave for work this morning and it wouldn't start. Put the multimeter to it... 12.8 volts at the battery, but she just wouldn't crank. Jumped it with wifey's car and got it to start... it started hard, but it started. Multimeter to the alternator and it gave me over 14 volts output. I have a feeling my battery is fugged. Oh well... Off to Autozone I go now to get it tested and I'll probably drop a wad of cash on a new battery....

I would of thought 12.8 would have cranked, probably have a bad cell and a load test will prove that..... Sucks, but just about as many batteries are lost too heat as is cold....

That was my first thought as well... Which had me a little puzzled... But Autozone's test confirmed that the battery was bad. I can't really complain I guess... It was the original Motorcraft battery from 2003. I had them put a new Duralast Gold battery in it and it fired right up. 118 bucks later... comes with a 8 yr warranty, though.

I wish they had warranties like that on ATV batteries. I just bought one the other day after a three year old battery died. They aren't cheap either!

Something is wrong with the AC again. There is maybe 10% of the normal velocity coming out of the vents and it sounds like the blower is struggling to "catch it's breath". What air does come out is not even remotely cold. The filter is in correctly and clean. The line coming in was froze up again tonight as well. We had a power outage last night and I notice water dripping profusely from the plastic box on the side of the inside unit that discharges the water. I have no idea what's up and can't imagine it will be a cheap fix. Fugg...

I can't remember if your contact had to add freon last time it was down or not. It sounds like you are froze up due to low freon charge.

Oh, and this is true dump worthy. From the day Tracie started at the hospital until today, child birth was free outside of anything requiring a specialist. Starting yesterday, it is now $3K. Fuggin fuggs!!!
