Ha I bet a lot of us were audiophiles, my first had a punch 500 and 2-15's. The second had 6 Soundstream 12's, 4 component sets, 4 batteries, 2 alternators and 3,000 watts RMS. Will post pics of that later.

I had two 10" kicker golds and a punch 225 in the escort. Got the saturn and Traded up for a two fosgate HE2's and another 225 and a punch 80 for my mids and kicker highs. Made a custom box for the rear hatch and customed the whole back seat into my amp and block panel. Thing was sick as hell and would rattle the wisdom teeth out of a 12 yr old!! Went to a bunch of comps with it, and sank a lot of money into it. Wish I could go back now and spend all that money on guns!!

It was the same day ya smartass. Selling my first car and pics of the new "project" car.

That explains it. I was going to ask if always posed for pictures after "feeding the cows". lmao

Reading this has jogged my brain with some memories. Thanks guys.

The Grand Prix I had was equipped with factory 8 track (thanks for the memory xbowguy) and I had to hit flea markets to find old Skynnard 8 tracks and such. I think I went thru at least 3 sets of u-joints in that car the first summer. Can't believe I kept rubber on that right rear tire. lmao

Probably lucky to be alive. Can't remember why I ever sold it. I had a 74 Cutlass Supreme with the 350 Rocket sometime my senior year. Dad sold it while I was in basic training. Said he didn't want it rotting in the drive way while I was gone. Not sure when i got the 73 Super Beetle. I think it might have been my junior year. I spent all my money on cars. Not sure I spent over $500 on any of them until I got back from basic and AIT. I traded cars like JD Boyd and Cottis traded in girlfriends back then. I might not have been as serious about the cars if I could have gotten a girl to take a second look at me. Not all of us can be stallions like Beener was. lol

I bet that was a tire smoking beast! You had some nice rides. I don't doubt you wish you had a couple of them still.

I started with a 77 Monte Carlo, that thing was blast until I got peeled by a Semi in front of the High School. I'll dig around and see if I can find the before and after pix.

Back in 1990 I purchased a 1966 Chevy II Supersport for $ 650.00. My favorite car of all time.

Now I want another and need to convince my wife that I need to spend $ 8K on a piece of junk to fix up.

Here's an example. This one is $ 8K and not even a SuperSport, no motor or tranny. Insanity, but I'm forever hooked by the car bug.
