Give a dude a break. That was an improvised target and scribbling is allowed!
:smiley_crocodile: I am actually just jealous.

I posted a few days back that I lost the farm I have hunted for the last three years because the land owners BIL decided to take up bow hunting. But enough about that. I stopped on my way home today to talk to the trustee of a very nice piece of property my best friend has hunted pretty much all his life and I have eyeballed for a long time. My best friend gave it up to hunt the neighboring property and his brother took over hunting it for the past two years. Now his brother has decided he doesn't want to hunt anymore and told my best friend, his brother, that he is giving it up. I talked to my friend and he said he is perfectly content where he is at and I should strike while the iron is hot and talk to the trustee. He told me this last night and I was on the trustees front porch at 3:30 today. I have known the LO and the trustee all my life and was feeling good about my chances of getting in there. So to make a long story a little bit shorter, sorry it has gotten as long as it has, I now have permission to hunt the 100 acre farm that has approximately 40 acres pasture, 20 acres of alfalfa, and 40 acres of hardwoods and locust trees. I can't wait to get out and walk this property! I AM STOKED! YEAH BABY!

That's great Don, glad to hear it! Is it any closer to home than the property you lost?
It's just about the same distance, but its a much nicer farm though. I am gonna try to get out this weekend and get some cameras out. Plus it will be cool to be hunting bordering properties with my buddy. The fact that he has hunted it so long is gonna be a plus. He told me he pretty much knows the land like the back of his hand and will help me as much as he can. Milo knows my buddy I am talking about and my buddy feels like he owes me for all I have done for him lately. I didn't feel like he owed me anything but I sure do appreciate him giving me the tip about the property opening up and giving me the inside scoop about past deer movement and such.
Good deal. Sounds like a great buddy! Not many people give up good hunting!

That is awesome Don! Good things happen to good people buddy. Here is a fine example. Hope you are able to capitalize on the new property this year!
Great news Don! I'm really glad to hear that, sounds like a great property, keep us updated!
