Went and picked up Audrey from that airport last night. She said this trip to D.C. was the best week of her life. I am happy she enjoyed herself that much, and dad is over noted to have her safely back at home.

That is TOO GOOD!

Coached 2 soccer games Saturday morning.

Family pictures in the afternoon.

Pizza, good beers, & watching the Buckeyes game last night.

Ran a 5k with my son today. He finished first in his age class.

Time to shower up, smoke up, and go climb a tree to end the weekend.

Good stuff Steve. Glad she had a great trip and she will probably talk about it for a long while and never forget that trip.

Jesse, that little one will own you for a long time to come buddy lol. Love that smile.

Got out to hunt this morning and try out the new blind. Glad to report it does work as we seen a good young buck out of it this morning. I had Dante go with me since we was running a little late this morning and I also wanted to test the size and comfortability for future hunts with my son. If it can fit 2 grown adults then there will be no problem with me and my wiggly son to have a few sits with his old man.

I also got to head down to the range to try out the new muzzy today. I have figured out that it likes the 100gr load and does ok with the shockwaves but want to try a couple other bullets to see what happens. I also found I can only get 2 shots out of the muzzy before I have to clean it out. I can't get the 3rd round seated at all with the triple 7 pellets. Might also try some white hots down the road but happy with today's trial run. Also found out that I shoot much better free hand then off a bench lol.

Good stuff! Sounds like a hectic weekend in the Curran household. Hopefully you are rewarded with a great first sit!

Super news with Audrey home safe and sounds like she is extremely excited about her trip. That is awesome Steve!

Yep Jesse. It is only just beginning. You remind me of myself when my daughter was that age. They sure can wrap you around their finger. I find it amazing how you can love something so much. It really does break your heart the first couple times you have to correct them. Don't worry, you get over it soon enough. lol

I knew that I would only get to hunt this weekend and (hopefully) next and then have to sit out for a few weeks. What I didn't plan on was waking up yesterday morning to a dog with a clogged milk duct. There went my hunting for this weekend.

Anyway, my kids knew I was disappointed over not being able to go. My oldest daughter and her husband went out tonight as well as my son and his friend.

They all stopped by to tell me about their hunts in person, which was great!

This was Eric's (my youngest son) first time crossbow hunting and he shot at a doe but missed. The great part was his excitement. He said it didn't even matter that he missed, that it was cool as hell to even take a shot! I can see he's now hooked for life!

Then, listening to my daughter explain to him why he missed was pretty cool too. Guess he put a 20 yard pin on an 8 yard shot, so she was explaining that he had to adjust his aim and shot over the doe's back.

My son in law also shot, but missed and Eric's friend did shoot a doe. They all stopped by while waiting to track it. I haven't heard back yet, so I guess they are still looking for it.

Anyway, if I couldn't hunt, seeing their faces and hearing the excitement in their voices was almost as good and I'm tickled to death.

My dog is now way better and there's always next weekend. I also got a batch of deer meat pressure canned, (and survived~) but estimated the meat wrong, so will be doing another batch early in the morning since it is already cut up.
