Had a lone drake dive bomb us out of the fog and over the trees. Caught us with our dicks in our hands. Next group of 5 drakes did the same. We got some kinks to work out! And I flushed 70 geese off...

Update: the 5 drakes came back and at least 2 died! I smoked one at a good 65 yards with 3" BB and a mid-range choke!

A lot of hard work went into that duck you shot, congratulations! That must have felt pretty good after all the leg work you guys did to get this spot and set it up the way you wanted too.

Looking forward to seeing how the rest of your day goes...I'm sitting at home with the kiddies today!!

One is a hen, so I'm a little mad about that. But it was a good shot and I know it was my shot, so that duck means more to me than most of my deer hunting successes!

Now if I can figure out how to get them. It's foggy and the dog can't see them, so it may take some serious wading on my behalf!

Took some human bird dogging from my buddy who dared to wade across and pull the birds off the muddy bank opposite us. Once he did, Remi snatched them up and carried them back to the blind. Even neatly stacked then together next to the blind!

Proud poppa! Earn his deer jerky snack!

IMAG0850.jpgWe hunted a traffic field today because we knew the x field would turn into a mess real quick with the rain. With some crazy hard and quick calling I pulled a single out of flock of 30 to his death feet down at 20 yards. We then had 3 glide in, I shot a double. We then had a flock of about 100 circle about 5 times until I called the shot when they went over. We dropped 3 more out of that flock, we then watched the x field load up with about 400 to 600 birds.

keep tellin yourself that.............. bad days are bad when it comes to waterfowl but the good days are incredible.

The main reason I have never done it because with my luck I would shoot a bird that would get me in trouble lmao. Would for sure need to go with somebody that knws better then I do. Would have to get with Curran or Beener.
