Sounds tasty, Doug. I may go shoot some squirrels in the morning if I feel energetic. How do you turn squirrels into nuggets? Did you simply debone and fry or is there more to it?

Quartered and also cut the spine on either end of the loins to make a large chunk. Parboiled then deboned, covered in seasoned floor and quickly fried. Called them swirl nuggets so my 4yo would try them and he loved them.

I got to spend the whole day with my son and his g/f. They came over about 2:00 and we mixed up a little apple pie.

Then kicked back with some pizza and chewed our fingernails off watching the Buckeyes. But the Bucks pulled it out and that was the icing in the cake for me today. I love every minute I get to spend with Jer and Lanna.

Don, until last weekend I had never had apple or peach pie... Now I can confidently say....DANG THAT LOOKS GOOD! Dave (Noah's dad) enjoyed it so much he's planning on making a bunch of it, and neither of us drink with any regularity!:)

Kids are getting so big. Haven't had much time in a tree this year due to family obligations and work, but my days will come. Today was fun watching my kids.

Hahahahaha I don't drink with any regularity either but I do like this on a cold evening when ya get home from the stand. A glass of either peach or apple, a warm blanket and a nice fire in the fireplace. Don't get any better than that.

I talked pretty extensively with Dave Friday night about making it and told h how simple it is to make. The customizing it with your own little touch of this and dash of that is where it gets fun. I'm working in a recipe for some blackberry right now. Yummy!

Good stuff all around. Kids are getting big Ryan.

We made it thru the whole poker run rain, cold, wind and all. Everyone returned safely and the benefit for my friend was a big hit. Met some new friends and helped out some old friends. Very emotional for the family I am sure. What a great outpouring of support from our community. It is awesome to see people come together to help out another family.

Agreed on all three accounts!

Had a good weekend with my bride. We took a road trip and drove all over our county and Ashtabula yesterday. We ended up at Trumbull Meat Locker and bout three pounds of smokies, and a smoked cottage ham. On our way home we zigzagged through a bunch of back roads and happened on a covered bridge. All in all it was a great weekend.

I've been off work for 1.5 months due to Joie's stroke. Tomorrow will be my first day back, and I'm jumping right into 7/12's! With almost three hours of drive time mixed in with that, my free time will be shot.

Be safe Dale. Sounds like with those hours your drive to/from work might be the most dangerous parts of your work day.

Went on a 7 hour road trip Saturday. Saved $1000 and a year and a half of waiting on her to grow up. I hope to breed her in the spring for some doodles. She is a parti-poodle and is AKC registered.
Though she is in the living room in a crate, she hasn't "officially" met my other dogs. Me and her are having a few disagreements on just who the boss is.

That should make some good lookin Doodles with a wide variety of colors. Avery, our girl from you, is also trying to decide the pecking order. She likes to pick on our 5 year old. Lol

Well, at least Avery is small enough that ya'll can still win, even if by brute force!

This dog (Lacey) decided she didn't want back in her crate and when I took her by the collar and tried to force the issue, instead of sitting on her haunches (which is what I expected) she stood up and put each paw on both sides of my arm, leaving me no way to get her in the crate. I switched hands, not letting go of her collar, and she simply grabbed my other arm. So, I tried to bend down some so she would stop standing and the damn bitch got me in a hold where I had no choice but to let go of her collar.

You've seen pins in wrestling....well, now imagine it standing up. Boy, was I ticked, especially since I know better than to let a dog win!

Today was a little better. I walked her (by force) at least a mile throughout my yard, and bump her with my leg if she tries to go in or out the door ahead of me.

I think she's slowly getting it, but I'm still mad! hahahahaha

I am considering that if necessary. She's not mean, just determined to be head honcho and that ain't happening!

I put mine down like they do in theit pack and that calms her down...then she listens well. I find that putting them down like that works more effectively.

She's stronger than me.

Nonsense..grab by the side of the neck and wipe her front legs out..she will go..dont let her up until she lays still and calm..when she gets up put her down again and again..she will submit. Face her and grab her by het neck with your right hand and sweep her front legs all in one montion.
