First all dayer in the books.

saw the big bodied deer 200 yards up the edge of the field about 10 - 15 minutes before legal light. Too far away and too dark to see what it was but it was big. It wandered out into a crp field and I lost sight of it. About 15 minutes after sunrise i spotted a small 6 point skirting the edge on the opposite side of the cove. Changed stands around 11:00 and didnt see anything till almost 5:00, I heard a squirrel going apeshit and looked to see a spike about 100 yards away walking right under another guys ladder stand. he wasnt in it. At about 5:15 i caught movement behind me and watched 3 does slip through and exit the woods right under the stand I have set up to the north of the pond. i wasnt in it.

No big stud bucks, no shot opportunities, but at least I saw some deer today. Thats better than it has been, I now believe they actually exist.

Well I dusted a doe tonight. She came in at last light and was 10 yards from the base of my tree. I had my bow hung and release in my pocket. No intention in shooting her, but it was either shoot or jump on her back. Lol. She piled up within 50 yards. Meat in the freezer!

Thanks all! My buddy helped me get her out of my hunting spot. I didn't field dress her there. I didn't want yotes raising hell and ruining my set for the week. We skinned her and gutted her on the hook. She will cool out good tonight.
On another note....... As I was trying to get out of my stand, my bow rope got hung up on my bottom step. FUGG! So, I has to carry my bow down the tree. That sucked!
Good luck this coming week, for all of you hunting with me.

Congrats to all who scored the last couple days. I spent the whole day in the woods. I'm in a new area so I spent about an hour of the windy mid-day scouting. Relocated about 500 yards and still saw nothing. I think that wind had them hunkered down. For the entire day I saw 1 doe that I bumped going in at 5:30 am. I'll get out again Monday.

I just shut my alarm off. Best wishes to those hunting in the morning. I'll probably join you all tomorrow afternoon - I NEED a solid nap!

I'm up, but not real excited about another day in the wind. Thinking hard about going back to bed.

Windy here as well. Can't kill them from the couch. I am just about ready to roll. Good luck today to you all.

Up Nort
Got out here real early and saw the big 8 and three does in the cut corn across the street. With all the corn out they should move through now.
