First all dayer in the books.
saw the big bodied deer 200 yards up the edge of the field about 10 - 15 minutes before legal light. Too far away and too dark to see what it was but it was big. It wandered out into a crp field and I lost sight of it. About 15 minutes after sunrise i spotted a small 6 point skirting the edge on the opposite side of the cove. Changed stands around 11:00 and didnt see anything till almost 5:00, I heard a squirrel going apeshit and looked to see a spike about 100 yards away walking right under another guys ladder stand. he wasnt in it. At about 5:15 i caught movement behind me and watched 3 does slip through and exit the woods right under the stand I have set up to the north of the pond. i wasnt in it.
No big stud bucks, no shot opportunities, but at least I saw some deer today. Thats better than it has been, I now believe they actually exist.
