Alex, I think you're prolly on to something. I believe these mature deer are a lot smarter and many pattern us more than we know!
Hope he slips up for you! Cool pics though!

Nope. Just the smell of smoke. He has me patterned. Hes got a formula in his head from the sound of my truck, the minimal amount of noise I make walking and getting to my stand. I dont think he had me fully figured out yet, just knows to use caution. Hes always there when im not. I have 5 other instances where he showed up in shooting light.
Have you tried hunting all day long??
I wish I could. I have to pick my battles. Self employment work sucks at times. I cant afford too many days off at my age lol
Switching it up a little today.... Going out after day break and taking the shotgun.... Burned out on the whole bow thing......
OhioSam and I are going too chase some bunnies....... lol......
Going after the little bucks and does lol......

That's actually a great idea Adam!
It happens from time to time lmao
Just don't get use to it lol.
Take somebody with you and have them drive off with your truck about an hour later. Problem solved and buck on the ground![]()
Ha, joe and I already discussed ideas. I have a buddy that lives up the road. Ill trailer in my ranger utv and drive to the barn I park at. Its quieter.
But a new noise none the less. Might make him even worse to get on. Seriously, I would just drive your truck and have your buddy take off in it about an hour later. That buck is use to your truck and will know the coast is clear when he hears it take off. If you drive the ranger in he will move off.
