Throw a soccer ball. Throw a shoebox.
That's quite an exaggeration. Is there ballistic significance inside of 40 yds? Blind Side contains pellets that are totally square, and I'm sure they pattern just fine out of a lot of gun/choke combos.

I found the shim kit for the Benelli and messed around with it last night. Feels a little better now. I'll see how it shoots here shortly hopefully.
You couldn't pay me to shoot remington shells. I'm not impressed with them at all.
I have shot hevi metal. Its a bad ass shell. Hevi metal #2 will kill anything urn gonna hunt.

When trying out those shims bring the gun up fast like you're shouldering at a duck. Close your eyes before you shoulder the gun. As soon as your cheek hits the comb open your eye and check the bead. If the bead lines up like you aimed it the gun fits you and points good. Try it with each shim and see which one points better. It'll be obvious which one fits better.

That's what I was doing. I flat out smacked the shit outta the drake I killed yesterday and it wasn't an easy shot, however it was just like one of the clays we throw, so it was a shot I've made a 1,000 times. I know I'm not following through as well as I could be, so there is definitely some operator era in all of this. I'm headed to Dunhams today to snag a couple different boxes of shells to try out.
What is an effective distance and acceptable number of pellets to judge what I'm shooting?
Good reminder of why I shoot Winchester and Remington ammo. Went to 3 places in a city next to a river and the only steel shot you can find is Winchester and Remington varieties. One box of Hevi-Shot for 20 gauge.
I'll probably have to order stuff.
Sorry for the highjack but has anyone used a 20ga. for waterfowl? I'm lovin this M-2 and want TOO try it out. I would use one of the heavy shot loads and in three inch it has to be 1 1/4 oz.'s so that should be pretty good. I shot it with number four lead and at thirty yards the pattern was great so fourty should be good.
