That's awesome! I am pretty disapppointed. We were going to head to the Ohio tomorrow but she's to froze up to get on. I know we'd of slaughtered em again like last weekend. Guess that's how Mother Nature is though.
Had a cool goose hunt this afternoon on the ice . It was nearly blizzard conditions at times , but we killed our birds by 330.

Had a primo spot lined up today and couldn't hunt it bc the farmer let his nephew hunt it. So the day started wrong and didn't end well for the 2013-14 season..... until the last 10 mins! I got my white elephant I've chased all year, been to MI twice and had countless encounters just never a shot! Today that all changed!

Thanks, taxidermist is going to love me with 3 ducks there this year. Guess that makes up for not shooting a buck like usual.
HA! Same here. Pair of woodies (dogs first retrieves) and a drake hooded merganser. I could mount two deer for that! :smiley_blackeye:
Made whats most likely the last waterfowl hunt of the yr. Birds beat us there but we setup anyway and managed 8 geese .

I hear ya! My gf wants me to get the teal I got early season mounted bc it was Sarge's first retrieve and his first hunt.
This taxidermy Bill thing hits home . Right now I have a deer and a duck at the taxidermist. But I've got 3 ducks in the freezer that I wanna get mounted . I just can't spend that much in a yr tho so I'll hafta pick 2 I think and wait on the other .
rotflmao It took me a few years to get there, and I felt dirty having those thoughts, but I'll be damned if it's just not more fun.
I scoffed at dudes on OW that said I'd want to trade my deer for ducks one day. Talk about foresight! The passion I had for deer is now for waterfowl and I'll hunt deer to satisfy what lingering dedication I have. Waterfowl is where its at! Once we have a boat, that'll be heaven!!!
